Description

Typical of the region of Campania, yet popular everywhere, Scamorza is closely related to Mozzarella; in fact, in some areas, they call it “Mozzarella passita” (i.e. “dried Mozzarella”). It is a briefly matured stretched-curd cheese, with a distinctive shape that includes the typical “tiny head” on a side. Our Scamorza is fresh and sweet, with a pleasant texture. It is excellent to taste sliced, cooked on a griddle and paired with a glass of Rosato del Salento or Chiaretto del Garda.
