Since 1939 The Caseificio sociale Il Battistero (Baptistry cooperative dairy) has been producing high quality Parmigiano Reggiano cheese with milk of the associated farmers from Ceno and Pessola valleys: a land rich of spring waters, woods and clean air, in the Appennines near Parma, the Food valley’s heart.

The dairy was built by the river Ceno, a few steps from the Serravalle Baptistry, a masterpiece of paleochristian art, from  which it took its name.
In addition to  the “king” of Italian cheeses, the dairy produces also fresh and seasoned cheeses (mozzarella, ricotta, scamorza, provolone etc.), delicious desserts and tasty specialities.

You can buy our products, which are completely hand made, directly in our shop, in the farmers’ markets and from now online too, and enjoy them at home following the chef's suggestions.
